Kelly is the CCC, Chief Creative Chick at Kelly Spalding Designs. She was born and raised in the south and is proud of her southern roots. Kelly believes decorating your home should be fun and that you need to take a risk and get out of your comfort zone every now and then and surround yourself with meaningful things.  Her design preference is simple and comfortable with family and friends in mind.  She loves giving old things new life in unpredictable ways and using her creative expertise and eye for detail to bring a room to life.  Her passion is helping her clients make their house a home full of southern charm and hospitality!

Franklin, Tennessee has been home for the Spalding family for 28 years. Kelly and her husband Corey have raised their children, Jacob, Tanner and Audrey in this beautiful historic town where Southern roots run deep.

About our shop

Kelly Spalding Designs is a southern lifestyle boutique in downtown Franklin, Tennessee. The shop is filled with a curated mix of vintage finds, modern pieces and local handmade items. You will find home decor, clothing, jewelry, purses and great gift items. We carry lines from southern makers and support small businesses every chance we get.

When you walk into the shop we hope you are delighted with the unique items we carry and enjoy some southern hospitality and charm. We want you to enjoy your shopping experience and help you select items that you are going to love.

The shop is located at 915 Columbia Avenue in historic downtown Franklin, Tennessee.

Tuesday - Friday 11:00 am - 5:00 pm Saturday 11:00 am - 3:00 pm

I had always dreamed of opening a shop and when things fell into place for me to have a store front in downtown Franklin, I was beyond thrilled!  When I brought my husband to show him the old house I had found, he thought I had lost my mind but I knew I could make it beautiful and the owner trusted me and was excited about my vision.  My heart and soul are poured into this small business and when customers stop in and tell me how much they love shopping at KSD it makes it all worth it.  

I believe that a home should be full of gathered things. I believe that you should be surrounded with meaningful décor and cherished collections. I believe home should be a soft place to land. I believe you can own the world with the right outfit and purse. I believe all of life’s problems can be solved with girlfriends and cocktails. I believe that UK should win the NCAA basketball tournament every year!

I am a lucky girl to have a sweet husband that believes in me and encourages me to go big or go home.  He is also willing to help me stuff my SUV with old doors, windows and beat up furniture so I can give them new life and purpose. He's a keeper.
